I got billed for next semester of college and so I got to thinking a bit rationally. First, why would they bill me if I was doing poorly at the moment?

So I went and looked at the courses for next semester. I know of one which I will not be able to take as I'm almost 100% sure I needed to pass another course last year. But most of the courses don't really appear to need a prereq. Other than the obvious Practical and Production tech.

So maybe I will go to Fanshawe for next semester. Maybe, we'll see. I have until Dec 3rd to make up my mind.

In other news, the transit strike may be averted. There's a new scheduled talk for tomorrow. We'll have to wait an see. If the union rejects it, then bus service will cease on Monday, which means I'll be biking 7km to school. Yuppers. 7km or 4miles. At least it's mostly downhill going there. Coming home will be hard since it'll be uphill....

Also, apparently Ontario College teachers could go on strike. Yea, go figure, first a possible transit strike and now the college teachers. It's ridiculous. I already suffered through a 6 week college teachers strike 3 years ago. now I may have to suffer through another one! ARG!

It's instances like these that make me hate unions. They like to strike which screws over the innocent public who PAYS for their services. No, seriously. Fanshawe students pay about $160 for the bus pass which pretty much guarantees approx $2million for the transit commission a year! If you add on UWO students that number is even higher! And with the teachers, students pay tuition ranging from $3000-$6000 (or higher) a year. For fanshawe that's approx $45mill - $90mill a year alone! But no, the unions are always wanting more more more!
